EVERYDAY LIVE PRACTICE SESSIONS
The adage 'Practice makes progress' reflects the brain's incredible ability to construct rapid neural pathways, resulting in faster responses. From a more technical standpoint, this phenomenon is attributed to neuroplasticity, specifically Myelination. Triggered by frequent neural engagement, Myelin—a fatty substance—wraps around neurons, enhancing electrical signaling efficiency. Increased myelination speeds up impulses, fostering more efficient information processing in the brain. Our daily live practice sessions are meticulously crafted to harness this brain function, enabling students to swiftly develop these high-speed neural highways. As they engage in fast calculations, students not only find enjoyment but also naturally cultivate a proficiency, processing numbers with an impressive 10X speed.
CRAWL - WALK - RUN APPROACH
Students embark on methodical learning journey with our Speed Math course, structured around the Crawl-Walk-Run approach. In the Rookie (Crawl) level, students delve into fast techniques, mastering addition and subtraction while exploring visualization, memorization, and rapid number crunching operations. Timed worksheets facilitate practice and self-assessment for the 1st Graded Assessment. Successfully completing this stage propels learners to the Expert (Walk) level, where they encounter 30+ speed math techniques covering diverse arithmetic operations. Confidence in handling all operations and passing the 2nd graded assessment unlocks the Maverick (Run) level. Rigorous testing on speed and accuracy culminates in the Final Graduation Assessment from EMA.
